Juneau Jazz & Classics is an annual festival whose mission is to bring world-class jazz, classical and blues artists to Juneau to perform, to teach and to interact with the community. It is our goal to provide a rich musical experience for Juneau and the remote towns of Southeast Alaska. The festival is designed to serve both those who can afford to purchase tickets and those who cannot; to inspire and educate both young and adult musicians; and to create musical events that will attract visitors to our community and enhance the economy.

Specifically, our goals are to:

• Select musicians of the highest caliber;
• Provide a catalyst for local musicians to achieve greater skills and musical understanding through high-quality concerts and stimulating workshops;
• Provide an opportunity for music lovers to hear high-quality concerts, and to stimulate appreciation for and awareness of the arts and music;
• Work with the Juneau School District to augment the music programs in the schools, fostering a love of music in young listeners and encouraging young musicians;
• Make our festival nationally recognized as a major cultural attraction for the benefit of our community and Southeast Alaska as a whole, including businesses, individuals, and other groups; to make Juneau and Southeast vibrant, exciting, and financially alive.
